Gabriella Pomare has a passion for writing and family law. Her experience spans both media and law throughout a dynamic and rewarding career. The daughter of a family lawyer, she was always inspired to make a change in the world of separation and divorce.
She worked in journalism while studying law, writing for publications including Cosmopolitan and Take 5, before transitioning into law. Gabriella jumped into the role of Associate to a Justice of the Family Court of Australia before moving to private practice and joining her father, an established, accredited specialist family lawyer. Under Gabriella’s vision, the firm grew from a sole practitioner practice to a modern, boutique firm with three offices.
Gabriella was a finalist in the 2018 Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30 Awards and nominated in the 2019Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards as a “Rising Star of the Year.” In 2022, 2023, and 2024, she won the Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards for Family Law, and in 2023 and 2024 she earned her place in the Women in Law Awards, “Partner of the Year—SME.” She was also named in the 2024 top fifty women in the Australian legal profession by Australasian Lawyer.
Through her experience both working with separating families and navigating the co-parenting world herself, she gained a passion to help separating partners collaboratively co-parent. She firmly believes uncoupling does not have to break up the family unit. Today, Gabriella uses her expertise to help separated parents jointly grow resilient, secure children of divorce.
